We have a lot to be thankful for…

Appreciation Luncheon in Boquete

This past Saturday we had all the workers over for a homemade Panamanian Lunch to show them the appreciation for the hard work they have done in the construction of our home for the last fifteen months. It all started with a beautiful piece of land in a gorgeous neighborhood and they all did their “magic” to make it happen! And boy did it happen?!  The architect (Rene), the builder (Egdar), the supervisor (Narcisso), the workers, and the sub-contractors all came together to help us materialize our dreams. We are forever indebted to them. This was a token of our appreciation. It was good timing since we were also starting the Thanksgiving week – let’s be thankful for the people and things that we have in our lives. Mariela (Egdar’s wife), read out loud what we had written in Spanish (with our friend Bruce’s help!). They clapped and smiled and we shared some great moments together. We feel welcomed in this new community and we will do whatever we can to be good neighbors and friends. Our journey continues!
