Cooking Classes

At Casa de Montaña we are all about good food, good people and good times!

For that reason, during summer of 2014 we started doing some Pakistani/Indian Cooking Classes. Wow, what a turnout! We keep the class size to an optimal number of students (around a dozen). We start out with introductions and getting to know each other. We move on to pairing off and cook in small groups. There are typically five different recipes so each student is able to “get their hands dirty”! We display the food on the counter, take photos of the food (and each of other!) and then sit down together on the back patio and dine together. This is a great way to meet people and learn to cook dishes in a relaxed and friendly environment. While we have had some local Boquetenans attend the classes, most of the attendees are expats who call Boquete home now. Some of them are recent transplants but many of them have been here for over 10 years!

We will be posting photos, videos, and recipes on this page of the cooking classes. If you would like to be placed on an email distribution list for a future cooking class, please send us a quick email and we would be happy to add you to the list. Typically the classes are scheduled twice a month on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-6 PM. While most months we try to do the cooking classes, there are months we will not be scheduling classes because of other activities/events that may be going on in town.
